If you are a professional athlete, certified by your Triathlon Federation, please fill the next form: Professional Form

The mandatory meeting will take place on Saturday, July 02,  2022, at 5:30 pm. The meeting place will be announced soon.

BIKE CHECK IN AND BODY MARKING

The body marking by Mexican Triathlon Federation Referees will start at 11:00 am and will be closed at 6:00 pm. The same Time Schedule will be available for the Mandatory Bike check-in.

CLIMATE PREDICTIONS

Even though it is too soon to make predictions for race day. Usually, July is a great month for a Triathlon event. With temperatures in the range of 27 to 32 centigrade, we expect a sunny and warm day for TRI San Gil Queretaro.

 

Race Circuits

 

SAN GIL International Triathlon event, will consist of a 1.9km swim, followed by a 90 km cycle and finally a 21 km run. The Triathlon San Gil Queretaro race circuits are not only distinguished by its beautiful scenery, but also for its challenging climbing on the bike course, and the variation of landscapes and the lake scenery.

BIKE CIRCUIT MAP / 90 KM

The bike course is full of landscapes (specially mountains) with long and steady up-hills and at the end a long downhill. This track is technical and demanding, in some moments faster than the rest. The riders complete one long loop of 90 km along the small towns and cities, San Fandila, Huimilpan and Amealco, passing through some of “the sierra of Queretaro Mountains” and a small canyon.

Triathlon San Gil / 90 km Bike circuit

The cycling segment departs from SAN GIL and continues through highway No. 120 and the athletes will ride about 6 kilometers before making a right turn to the San Fandila Highway. The circuit will continue until km 27.5 where the first U-turn will take place, and the bike circuit will continue until a small right turn to return to the main highway to Amealco, about 3 kilometers before the main up-hill starts.

Athletes will then ride then thru the No. 120 Federal Highway on its way to the city of Amealco, passing by the small towns of Galindo, then “Puerta de Alegría” to continue thru the new bridge that will lead athletes to the second and final turn around, in the deviation of Amealco – Huimilpan. In the second turn around, the start the final Downhill to San Gil Residential area takes place.
Located in kilometer 67 the second and final U turn a long downhill of 23 kilometers takes place.
Athletes recover for the uphill in the last part of the bike course, as it is a long 34-kilometer descent.

RUN CIRCUIT MAP / 21.1 km (Half Marathon)

The running segment of San Gil International Triathlon is really nice and flat. The course elapses entirely through the residential area of San Gil. TWO laps which alternate between the concurred Boulevard of the residential area, letting all athletes companions see their athletes as they run thru the main lakeside km 1 & 12 of the San Gil International Triathlon half marathon.

FINISH LINE

The finish line will be situated at the futbol soccer court that is located near the tennis area of San Gil, and in San Gil central area.
